Sedentary lifestyle: how to fight it

Sedentary lifestyle, a bad habit which, considering the risks it entails, is considered a disease. If you don't have good reasons to be lazy, that's good hurry up because a sedentary lifestyle can create many problems, obesity is one of them and it is not the only one, quite the contrary!

Especially in richer countries, this attitude of standing too still it has increased serious diseases such as cardiovascular and metabolic diseases, by also raising health care costs for everyone, even those who are not sedentary and, to date, are a virtuous minority, both in Italy and in Europe.

To combat a sedentary lifestyle, it is not necessary to take drugs, medicine cannot be bought but is found within oneself. Is called willpower. It is important to make a commitment to exercise at least 3 times a week with a medium-high intensity, for a total of at least 3 hours per week.

Alternatively, if the high intensity scares us, and even the average one, we can opt for 30 minutes a day of moderate physical activity, like walking up the stairs or walking in the green reflecting or chatting. Sedentary lifestyle in children is not at all rare, indeed, both in Europe and in Italy, we can speak of a worrying situation. Only a third of adolescents on our continent do the physical activity they should, at his age, and this leads to the childhood obesity rates we know, because European and Italian children they are not much more active than teenagers.

Even from the age of 15, the attitude remains sedentary: the Italians are among the laziest in Europe, even, given that 60% would never seem to engage in sports or physical activity while the European average stands at 42%.

THE symptoms of sedentary lifestyle they are not immediately visible, except for the weight gain that often follows. It is not obvious, however. There are other signals such as the decrease in muscle tone and reactivity, even the mood in secondary subjects, in the long run, is low.
